Denver, CO - Associated Builders and Contractors Rocky Mountain Chapter has named Jason Murphy its 2010 Field Professional of the Year.

Murphy, a Senior Project Superintendent with Pinkard Construction, was the unanimous selection of a panel of five judges from the insurance industry. In selecting Murphy, judges considered project safety record, achievements in quality, management philosophy and professional development. The award was presented at ABC’s annual Safety Award and Education Banquet at the Sheraton Denver Downtown Hotel.

Murphy is the first recipient of the award, which honors outstanding individuals in the construction industry. Competition was open to any field professional with at least five years experience in a supervisory role, at least five million in construction projects in the past three years, and all current OSHA certifications.

Murphy is currently completing the $28.6 million design-build Central Platte Campus project for the City and County of Denver’s Public Works Department. He has recently supervised the City of Golden’s $12 million Public Works Facility, and Christian Living Communities’ $35.5 million Phase II Holly Creek Retirement Community. He has been with Pinkard since 2001.

Pinkard Construction is a Lakewood-based construction manager/general contractor in business in the Denver Metro area since 1962.
