Pinkard Construction Company Attains Employee LEED Professional Accreditation Milestone

Lakewood, Colorado - Pinkard Construction, in its ongoing commitment to sustainability and green building, is proud to announce that its entire project management and reconstruction/estimating staff have attained LEED professional accreditation.

A Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Accredited Professional (LEED AP) is an individual who has demonstrated the knowledge and skills necessary to participate in the sustainable design process and streamline the LEED application and certification process. LEED professional accreditation is awarded through the U.S. Green Building Council.

As a member of the US Green Building Council, Pinkard made a commitment to have every project manager and preconstruction/estimating staff member become a LEED Accredited Professional. This July, Pinkard not only met, but exceeded that goal.

Pinkard currently has 25 LEED Accredited Professionals, including the entire preconstruction and estimating department, every project manager, six project engineers, the field operations manager, several field personnel, and the business development team.

Pinkard is currently constructing two projects that are pursuing LEED Gold certification: the $28 million Central Platte Campus for the City and County of Denver, and the $31 million Academic Instruction Building for Colorado State University. Recently completed LEED Gold certified projects include the City of Fort Collins’ Northside Aztlan Community Center and CU Boulder’s $32.9 million Koebel Building.
