Pinkard Hits Leon Wurl Milestone Ahead of Schedule

Lakewood, CO - Construction Manager/General Contractor Pinkard Construction Company has “dried-in” the Leon A. Wurl Service Center project almost one month ahead of schedule.

The Leon A. Wurl Service Center is a maintenance, shops and office facility for the Town of Erie Public Works Department and Parks Department. It features a 9,560 sf Class “B” office building that connects with a 16,728 sf maintenance building on approximately 7.5 developed acres.

Sustainable features on the maintenance building include a white TPO roof, photovoltaic panels with a power purchase agreement, and full heat recovery.

The Center also includes a 250,000 sf service yard with a 3,000 gallon fueling station, magnesium chloride/salt storage facility and truck wash pad.

The Leon A. Wurl Service Center project is contracted to complete December 8, 2010. Pinkard is currently on pace to complete November 10, 2010. OZ Architecture, Denver is providing design services. The owner is the Town of Erie.
