Pinkard Promotes Stephen J. Burns to Director of Preconstruction

Lakewood, CO - Steve Burns of Pinkard Construction Company has been promoted to the newly created role of Director of Preconstruction.

As director of preconstruction, Steve will work to help fulfill Pinkard's commitment to provide the most comprehensive, thorough preconstruction services in the industry. His duties will include collaboration with Pinkard's estimating and preconstruction staff, and client owners and architects to expand the quality of Pinkard's preconstruction and planning services, including Building Information Modeling (BIM), scheduling, constructability review, project feasibility analysis, estimating, sustainability, and defect prevention.

During his seven years at Pinkard, Steve has served as project manager, senior project manager, design-build manager and construction manager, with an emphasis on design-build and construction management/general contracting projects. In his 21 years of construction management experience, Steve has managed such notable projects as the Leeds School of Business for the University of Colorado at Boulder - a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED®) Gold certified project, Peter Barton Lacrosse Stadium for the University of Denver, Rocky Mountain Christian Church in Frederick, Con Agra (Swift) Corporate Headquarters in Greeley, and the upcoming Academic Instruction Building for CSU in Fort Collins.

Steve holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in physics from Hamilton College in Clinton, New York; a Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering from Columbia University; and a Master of Business Administration from Colorado State University.
