Pinkard Construction Co. Breaks Ground on Sunny Vista Living Center

Colorado Springs, CO - Construction Manager/General Contractor Pinkard Construction Company, with Sunny Vista Living Center and Lantz-Boggio Architects broke ground last week on the $14.9 million Skilled Nursing Facility for Sunny Vista Senior Living.

Sunny Vista Skilled Nursing Facility, a 2-story, 116-room senior living facility will be located across the street from the main Sunny Vista Living Center campus. The new 90,000 sf facility, which is adjacent to a large community park in central Colorado Springs, will offer private rooms for shortterm rehabilitation or long-term custodial care.

The main level features a dramatic two-story living room trimmed with ornate hand railings and a large fireplace. Other amenities include living rooms, communal dining, a therapy room and gym, chapel, salon, conference room, two elevated outdoor patios, a multi-purpose room, 270-gallon aquarium, and aviary.

The metal-stud framed facility will have undergound parking with a structural concrete lid.

The project is scheduled to complete March 2012.
