The BP Center for Visualization project is the remodel of an existing 13,000 sf nuclear physics laboratory. A virtual reality theatre is designed to be used for such diverse applications as oil and gas exploration, military training, flight simulation, urban planning, medicine and even dance. The virtual reality theatre is designed to allow scientists to "view data in three dimensions." The center's "immersive visualization" capabilities allow scientists to turn numbers into life-size pictures that are easy to understand and manipulate.
