Work involved the demolition of existing walls and minor asbestos abatement; the installation of new plumbing and mechanical systems, which include a recirculating, 18 ohm, deionized water system; new interior walls; laboratory casework and new laboratory equipment including stainless steel perchloric acid and radio isotope fume hoods. Additional walls were built within the facility to create space for a darkroom and a blood-borne pathogen room.
