Graland Country Day School’s Commons Building and Foundation Center project is a $4.9 million phased renovation/addition that included razing the Gates Science Building to make room for a new Commons Building; a major renovation of Graland’s Foundation Center; and a 440 sf elevator and lobby addition and extensive ME upgrades. The new Commons Building is a 15,000 sf, two-level dining hall, and assembly center that included a 2,000 sf commercial kitchen. The Foundation Center renovation eliminated the old cafeteria/kitchen facility and created a new 10,000 sf performing arts center. The project has applied for LEED Gold certification for the new Commons Building.
