Broomfield, Colorado — Construction Manager/General Contractor Pinkard Construction Company has begun construction of Arista Building 8181, a new office/mixed-use development in Broomfield.
Arista Building 8181 will be a five-story office facility adjacent to its sister property 8001 Arista Place office building near the Broomfield Event Center. The 8181 property will be 119,089 sf with structural steel and concrete shear cores, an exterior skin of structural stud framing, and combinations of glass, brick, stone, metal panels and stucco. Floors 2 – 5 are office space, the first floor is retail and restaurant.
Construction cost is $12.2 million; or approximately $140 per square foot. gkkworks is the architect. The owner is Wiens Capital/Arista Place LLC.
Pinkard constructed the 8001 Arista Place office mixed-use facility in 2008. Wiens Capital subsequently awarded the contract of the 8181 building to Pinkard and construction began in early June.
The overall Arista development will feature 600,000 to 800,000 sf of retail space, approximately 1,000 units of multi-family residential, and approximately 200,000 to 400,000 sf of office space. A considerable portion of the project will have “urban” architecture, with minimal setbacks, and on-street parking.
